Building a Foundation for Life
Catholic Education Northern Territory (CENT) provides quality Catholic Education and Care Services in our Early Learning Centres (ELCs) and in School Aged Care Environments – Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in our Primary Schools. The ELCs also provide Long Day Care and Preschool Programs for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old.
Catholic Education and Care Services provide continuous care, specifically designed to foster every child’s wellbeing, growth development and learning through:
- interactive activities
- building experiences
- familiar daily routines and
- Catholic prayer and celebrations.
Catholic Education and Care Services commit to making a difference in the local community by fostering the dignity, self-esteem and integrity of each and every person and inspiring hope and a positive vision for life in them. We promote inclusion and understanding through our Catholic faith and values. Our teaching and learning practices are informed by contemporary research, are age appropriate and have a strong focus on community and culture.
Our centres recognise quality integrated teaching and learning practices, pastoral care, and wellbeing as fundamental elements in creating welcoming environments where young minds flourish. Children’s learning growth and development is nurtured through pedagogy and programs that improve the skills of cooperation, engagement and innovation. Opportunities to learn through play, inquiry and experience allow children to reach their full potential, building a foundation for lifelong learning.
